Novice Tennis Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. is open to novices of either gender – not only ladies as mentioned erroneously in the Tennis Guidelines.

Water shoes advisory: The debris left from the senior lounge fire has been cleaned up. There is still a slight risk of metal or glass which could injure swimmers. We are moving the swimming beach south, away from the old senior lounge. Nonetheless, we strongly advise that members wear water shoes for any activity on the beach or in the water.

Coffee cups: Please return coffee-less cups to the kitchen.

Tennis courts: We’re experiencing difficulty with the watering system. Courts are not getting enough water. We’re working to improve playing conditions.

Tennis clinics: Are self rated, meaning each player must decide whether she/he is a Novice, Intermediate or Advanced player. By NHC standards, a rating of 3.0 is advanced. Less than that is Intermediate or Novice. Here’s the NTRP rating. It’s also a great guide to help you analyze your game!

Weekly updates to keep you in the loop are published each Friday evening by the NHC News Nugget publishing company, for the following week’s events.

Can’t wait to see you . . .
on the beach – on the court – on the tee . . .
on the lake – in the tent – on the porch!
